Jefferson County’s Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) is a division of Human Services that has made it their mission to help people achieve their goals by providing them with comprehensive information so they can make informed decisions, and advocacy support to ensure that they remain in charge of their lives. In order to complete this mission, they created a vision to provide information and assistance to a diverse community where the elderly, and people with disabilities, are respected, healthy and productive. Their Senior Dining Program is part of this mission and vision by making programs available to all persons 60+ regardless of health status or income; however, in order to get meals delivered, the individual must have an assessed need and agree to an in-home assessment and has locations in Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, Johnson Creek, Lake Mills, Palmyra, and Watertown.

The Fort Atkinson Senior Center needs a Nutrition Site Manager that will provide nutrition services that assist older individuals to live independently, by promoting better health through improved nutrition through programs coordinated with nutrition-related services.

As a dependable, knowledgeable, and compassionate Nutrition Site Manager, you will be successful by completing the below key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Register new participants and re-enroll all participants annually
  • Complete cursory assessment to determine need for home-delivered meals and assist in coordinating participant transportation
  • Greet participants, take reservations and cancellations, call in accurate meal counts, and coordinate meal delivery with drivers
  • Assemble and serve timely meals, including packaging home-delivered meals while complying with food safety standards
  • Prepare dining room set up and clean up and cleans kitchen/common are daily
  • Follow up on well-being of no-show participants and contacts appropriate agency, if needed
  • Variety of other tasks needed, as provided on the post job description

Starting wage: $12.83/hour

Hours: 19 hours/week (4 hours/day for 4 days; 3 hours/day for 1 day)

Qualifications:

Qualifications Needed:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Six months related experience and/or training
  • Obtain Serving Safe Food Certificate within 90 days of hire and maintain up to date certification

Qualifications Preferred:

  • One-year related experience and/or training
