Job Description:

Jefferson County’s Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) program within the Human Services department provides a flexible array of individualized community-based psycho-social rehabilitation services for consumers with mental health or substance abuse issues across their lifespan. The goal of the program is to assist the consumer in increasing resilience, reducing the impact that their trauma history, mental health, and/or substance abuse disorder plays in their life, and assisting in their journey of recovery.

The CCS team seeks a passionate and consumer focused individual to take on the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Family Centered Treatment (FCT) Psychotherapist role. This position provides Mental Health Intervention services for Jefferson County Human Services consumers.

To be successful in this position, you will be focusing on the below responsibilities:

  • Performs crisis assessments/suicide risk assessments, evaluates client’s safety to self and others through clinical interview and develops crisis plans and safety plans with the consumer to meet their safety needs.
  • Provides ongoing assessments, responding to crisis situations and linking consumer with resources in the community and other agency resources and develops and implements crisis plan determining effective strategies and interventions.
  • Provides case management as identified in the psychosocial assessment. Provides psychiatric medication case management under the supervision of the psychiatrist.
  • Performs individual and group therapy for target population, as well as provides therapy to persons in the CCS program.
  • Implement Family Centered Treatment (FCT) evidenced based model to CCS consumers.
  • Variety of other important tasks

Starting wage = $28.52/ hour; 40 hours/week.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling, 3000 hours of postgraduate, supervised clinical experience and/or 2 to 3 years’ experience, required.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain one of the following professional licenses:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Complete all Family Centered Treatment training and acquire certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Licensure upon hire
