Jefferson County’s Human Services Behavioral Health Division has developed an array of programs that promote individual recovery while offering evidence-based treatment options, including Emergency Mental Health (EMH) Crisis Intervention Services. This provides a full array of crisis people who reside in the County which includes assessment, linkage to needed resources, crisis planning, determining if immediate intervention, as in inpatient hospitalization, safety plan, or other crisis stabilization placement is necessary.
The division is looking to add an experienced and compassionate Community Outreach Worker, who will ensure community safety, placement prevention, competency building, and positive consumer experiences through coaching and educating people of all ages with emotional or cognitive disabilities, and their families, r to develop coping skills. This position will also fill in at our crisis stabilization facility as needed to provide emergency mental health services for people with mental health and/or substance use issues. This service is provided in a crisis/assessment home for short-term placement.
To be successful you will be responsible for these key responsibilities:
Starting wage: $19.46/hour
Hours of Work: Wednesday through Sunday; 1pm to 9pm with some flexibility
