Jefferson County is home to 22 county owned parks and several multi-use trails spread-out through the County for the public to enjoy. The Jefferson County Parks Department strives to preserve natural resources for public use and conservation as well as promote the health and wellness of our communities. We operate and maintain a parks system with resource-oriented recreation, trails, and special use parks. We also manage the grounds keeping and grounds improvements for the county’s multiple buildings and campuses.
This is a new position that emphasizes Natural Resource Management and Volunteer Coordination. In order to maintain a high standard of operation, the department is looking to hire a Building & Grounds Maintenance Worker who is knowledgeable in ecosystem management and forestry, dedicated to our mission, and passionate about our Parks system and includes completing the below key tasks:
Starting Wage: $19.46/hour
Hours: 40 hours/week
