ABOUT CENTRAL SERVICES OF JEFFERSON COUNTY
Central Services is responsible for ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of all physical assets, facilities and equipment of Jefferson County. The Custodians of Central Services are dedicated to maintaining clean, safe and organized facilities that support a healthy and productive environment.

SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this position, you will be focusing on the below responsibilities:

  • Cleans offices including dusting furniture; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and shampooing floors and carpets; emptying wastebaskets and trash containers.
  • Cleans and sanitizes restrooms using established practices and procedure.
  • Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. 
  • Ensures assigned buildings are secured when facilities are not in use.
  • Assists with the setup of facilities for meetings. Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Removes snow from sidewalks.
  • Cleans, vacuums, and sanitizes fleet cars. Removes snow from cars in winter.
  • Strips, cleans, buffs, and applies sealer and finish to hard surface floors.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or as may develop
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Three to Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Wage
We pay $18.63 - $20.61/ hour based on candidate successful experience and qualification.
