Jefferson County’s Youth Justice Team is part of the Human Services Department and provides ongoing case management for youth on Juvenile Delinquency orders, Juveniles in Need of Protection or Services (JIPS) orders, Consent Decrees, Deferred Prosecution Agreements, as well as, voluntary cases. While fulfilling their duties, the team recognizes the dignity of each and every youth and has moved away from the punitive “mini adult” probation model and provides a trauma informed approach to service delivery.
The team is looking to hire a Youth Justice Worker that will contribute to their goals and values by providing service coordination, safety and restorative justice services, and treatment to youth adjudicated under State Law as delinquent or under informal agreements, and to their families. This position will also provide assessment, case planning, case management, and incentives to the entire family while continuously assessing and accounting for community safety.
As a caring, compassionate, and attentive Youth Justice Worker, you will be successful in completing the following key tasks and responsibilities:
Starting wage/hours: $24.42/hour, 40 hours/week; upon the completion of necessary trainings and based on performance may have opportunity for promotion to Youth Justice Worker II, starting at $26.32/hour
